Day 11

Today is Day 10, but really it's Day 11. You may wonder why I am up at 1:30am blogging when I should be in bed. I am wondering the same thing. I just finished posting a discussion response and doing a paper on plagiarism. I feel a little more confident the second week into this class, but I am super busy still. The end of the fiscal year meant expense vouchers, putting in PTO, and blowing (I mean spending) my professional development money. I think I bought out part of a section of the arts and crafts section at Meijer and I feel as if Amazon should be sending me a thank you can (maybe with some money attached) for the amount of money I spent in two orders of kids' books. I just feel bad for the guy who had to put up half my order of arts and crafts stuff because I waaaay overdid it at the checkout. Who knew the supplies could cost that much money?

On a different note, I got a Droid. I am freaking out about having to pay for internet monthly, but it'll be nice for this class. A little surreal that I have such a nice phone that has a full, working touch screen.

I must have an inkling of what I am doing

So...I needed a quick update on how my class was going...it's only fair. I was up until 1am messing with stuff last night, but did my first post and held my breath. My prof wrote back today, addressing me personally, in addition to the class, stating that we brought up good points! Ok...deep breath...I can do this. My response post, in addition to a quiz on hidden "Instructor's Policies" have clarified some things, so hopefully, I don't miss anything. There are nice reminders that pop up when you log in of things that are coming due. I am tired and had a really rough day with my stomach (I think it's nausea from the anxiety), but I am headed to bed in a few, so I have done what I could do for the day. At least I am surviving.:)

Already behind in class?

Thus far, my class has made me want to cry like 4x...and today is Day 2. I feel like I am on this treadmill, where everyone else knows what is going on and I am trying to figure out what is going on. My caseload is increasing at work, and I am just now going to bed. I have 11 appointments tomorrow and a quiz to finish before midnight Arizona time.

I am a Phoenix

So...I realize that it has almost been a year since I have posted anything. Wow...a lot has happened. Today, I only have a few, short minutes before work, so I will make this one a quickie. I recently discovered (almost exactly a month ago) that I have to take a class for my License of Clinical Social Work (LCSW). I did not go to a clinical school for my Master of Social Work (MSW), so therefore, I have to fill in the gaps in my educational knowledge. While taking a class is kind of exciting to learn new things, I am just overwhelmed thinking about balancing an over full-time job with an online Master's degree course. Thankfully, I can enjoy my summer outdoors on my laptop. Although my battery is worthless, so that is on my list of things to get. So, here it goes. If people who work full time and have kids can do it, I can too. The afternoon will be spent organizing and preparing myself for this.
